SMART Games: Are you Smarter Than…- Bitty Blackboard
This Blackboard online class will walk participants through the process of creating an "Are You SMARTer than a 5th grader" SMARTBoard games using the Common Core Standards and grade level expectations.This Bitty Blackboard will begin Wednesday, January 25th and end on Tuesday, February 7th. Participants will receive 2 CLUs and 2 Tech Points. (NIET) demand that teachers incorporate multimedia and technology into their lessons in order to engage students and increase retention. Presenting Instructional Content & Motivating Students: Providing resources and visuals that establish the purpose of the lesson including examples, illustrations, analogies, and labels for new concepts and ideas so that it is personally meaningful and relevant to students. Common Core State Standards specify that students should be able to use a variety of digital tools to produce and publish writing, including collaborating with peers. “Production and Distribution of Writing” Use technology, including the Internet, to produce and publish writing and to interact and collaborate with others. Tech Points are awarded for Technology Staff Development that takes place outside of school hours. Teachers receive 1 Tech Point per hour and can spend the points in the Tech Point Store in the Staff Development Portal. The funds used to purchase all Tech Point equipment and supplies are from grant sources, which require the more expensive equipment to be tagged and remain on Tangipahoa Parish School System inventory. This equipment is the property of the teacher as long as she/he remains an employee of TPSS. When the teacher leaves the parish, the equipment must be returned to the TPSS Technology
